“To wander is to explore, meander, adventure; or just take a second to move around a space without aim or purpose.
What I love about this concept is that each artwork in this exhibition offers just that, an invitation to enter a landscape and experience it through the lense of the artist.
We each bring a unique artistic interpretation to places we have been, and places we return to. My body of work largely comprises familiar landscapes in Western Montana, with the addition of some moments in transit. Whether southern Colorado, or a pit-stop on the California Coast, the landscapes that catch the eye, and either mark a brief moment of rest and contemplation, or a reminder of home.
‘Where We Wander’ is a humble testament to being present and curious, wherever you might find yourself.”

"I love the variety I encounter in my wanderings. When applying paint to canvas it can become a concentrated wandering of my mind–which can allow space for the discovery of something new to unfold, or to explore something familiar in an unfamiliar way.
Sometimes I try to capture what is in front of me. Other times, I follow my curiosity, allowing for new possibilities to slowly unfold, mark by mark.
Sometimes I paint what I see.Sometimes I paint in order to see."
