Artists are invited to submit work for this summer- long national juried exhibition. The exhibition opens June 1st, 2012.

Montana legendary artists - Rummel, Audio, Senska, Halko as well as many other treasures will be featured. Check back for more updates!

The Dana Gallery is hosting the 9th annual Paint Out!

Beginning July 16th, Twenty five established artists will come to Missoula and the surrounding area to paint en plein air, French for "in the open air. They take on the challenge of working in changing elements: heat, shifting light, and moving subjects.
Plein air artists follow in the footsteps of the French Impressionists from the late 1800's and the American artists from the coast and southwest who followed the railroads west, painting scenes that informed the nation of Western grandeur in the 1900's.

The Dana Gallery is proud to continue the tradition of plein air work through holding this annual event. The plein air work, as well as studio work from each artist, will hang in the gallery from July 20th-August 31st.

The show opens with a private reception for sponsors on Wednesday, July 20th.

A jury has selected "An Evening Song" by H. Steven Oiestad as Best of Show. See more information for a complete list of winners.

Throughout the month of June, stop by the Gallery for a look at new work from your favorite artists.

Take a tour of western iconology through the unique interpretations of nationally known contemporary artists.
The opening reception will be held at the gallery on Thursday, June 16th.

The Dana Gallery would like to introduce our newest artist Tom Hanson. His pieces are now on display at the Gallery.

This Thursday the 2nd Annual Western Masters Exhibition kicks off in Great Falls. The Dana Gallery is proud to be bringing a selection of new works by 12 artists to the show which runs March 16-19th. Click below for more information.

We are thrilled to announce that Singer/Songwriter, Dan Bern will be performing for one night only at the gallery on March 22nd at 7:30pm. Call or stop by to reserve a ticket, we only have 150 seats! $15 in advance and $20 at the door.

For ONE NIGHT ONLY the Dana Gallery will host an exhibition of work by local artists with the human figure as as the focus.

WIN a 16x20 portrait painted by artist, Francis Switzer!

The Holter Museum in Helena, Montana recently closed it's summer Landscape exhibition. Many of the Dana Gallery artists were invited to participate in this exciting show. We have gathered together these works for display at the Dana Gallery. See work by Tom Gilleon, Jeff Walker, David Mensing, Francis Switzer, Parvin, Dudley Dana, Caleb Meyer, Davi Nelson, Janet Sullivan, R. David Wilson, Michael Untiedt, Louise LaMontagne, Tom English, and Andy Cline.

Southwest Art has chosen 4 of the Dana Gallery artists as finalists in the second annual 21 over 31 Emerging Artists competition. Two of them, Jim Connelly and Richard Hall made the top 21. The other two finalists are Michele Usibelli, and David Mensing.

Artist, Theodore Waddell has been included in the "Art in Embassies" program in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. His piece "Winter Horses Drawing #13" is currently on loan to the Mongolian embassy and will be on display until Ambassador Jonathan Addleton leaves his post.

The Dana Gallery is proud to continue the tradition of plein air work through supporting this annual event. The event is always well attended and the patrons of the event are the glue that holds it together. The patrons' support over the last eight years has cemented our Paint Out as one of those "happenings" that make Missoula special and solidifies our reputation as a major art center in the West.
