Ron is a member of the Oil Painter's of America and the Montana Painter's Alliance.
In 2006, he was selected as one of the top 72 artists for the Best of America Show, National Oil and Acrylic Painter's Society.
Great Falls native Ron grew up amidst the history and lore of the area. At a very early age, Ron learned about Charles M. Russell, renowned artist and story teller extraordinaire, from his grandparents, who had purchased their home from the Russells. Ron would spend countless hours in Russell's log cabin studio, playing with the artist's tools and artifacts. His love of researching history vaulted to new heights.
