Our vibrant Icons of the West 2012 show, with a grand prize of $5000 for Best of Show, includes awards in the categories of Best Traditional Western Painting, Best Figurative Painting, Best Contemporary Western Painting and Best Landscape. It is sponsored by Big Sky Journal, Western Art and Architecture, Western Art Collector and Southwest Art. This national show, planned to continue annually, follows the Dana Gallery's success hosting two Oil Painters of America events and the "Out West" exhibit. Our national shows and Icons of the West 2012 are made possible by the enthusiastic support of collectors and patrons from Montana and the region who support Missoula as a home for the arts.
