Although I have always enjoyed photographing people, I feel a particular obligation to record people from native tribes which are rapidly changing and highly endangered. The Karo and Mursi tribes of Ethiopia’s Lower Omo Valley are two such vanishing cultures.
The black and white images were taken during these same trips. They are of traditional wooden carved figures from Tanzania and ancient stone sculptures from the Angkor Wat region of Cambodia.
All proceeds from this show will be donated to Missoula Youth Homes.
