Shirle Wempner is a Montana native raised on a horse ranch on the outskirts of Billings. Her passionate interest in nature moved her to pursue an art education at Montana State University and by study with her favorite artists.
Wempner utilizes broad brush strokes to create a feeling of realistic abstraction. Her dreamy impressionistic images caught the attention of Gallery Owner, Dudley Dana at the C. M. Russell show last year and now she will be a refreshing addition to the gallery's impressive collection of artists
Wempner currently lives outside Big Timber, Montana, and life on the ranch continues to bring tremendous inspiration.
Shirle will be doing a painting demonstration at the Opening Reception on Thursday, August 19th from 5:30 - 8:00pm.
