"The way of the world by horseback is a wonderful experience. Growing up in the beautiful San Juan Islands off the coast of Washington, my love for horses began with a bareback ride on the beach.

"Texture embodies the color and captures the energy I feel during the creative process, guiding me as I venture to unveil the tranquil essence of the horse. In my attempts to reveal the natural calm and peaceful energy of horses, it is my hope that the finished work will relax the viewer and elicit a simple memory or emotion personal to them."
