An Idaho native, Caleb Meyer spent his childhood summers in the Sawtooth Mountains of central Idaho. These early excursions inspired a passion for the outdoors and their stunning beauty that he has preserved into his adult life. He hopes to instill in his viewers the same adoration he feels towards the outdoors. In his latest pieces he uses a palette knife to provide viewers with a fresh look at nature by means of thick paint, vibrant color and splendid composition. “As an artist I strive to capture the energy that I feel when I paint, I want to infuse my life and movement into the canvas.”

Always creative, he was a top art student high school and went on to pursue his BA in Art Education from Boise State University. After graduating from the University, Meyer spent two years studying under renowned artist Robert Moore. Since his time with Moore, he has been working to establish himself as an emerging artist. Currently Meyer is working as a painter as well as teaching drawing and painting in the high school setting.

Meyer has participated in many plein air exhibitions across the Midwest and is currently represented by three galleries in two states.
